On behalf of the COLOSSUS EU project consortium, we are delighted to invite you to the final event of COLOSSUS – Collaborative system of systems exploration of aviation products, services & business models. The final meeting will be organized at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Hamburg on April 28th and 29th 2026.
Over the course of this project, we have explored the complex, interconnected future of aviation architecture and business ecosystems in depth. The COLOSSUS project has developed a novel holistic system-of-systems (SoS) design methodology that permits the combined optimization of aircraft, operations and business models.
The COLOSSUS Paradigm allows European aviation to perform research, technology development and innovation in a holistic SoS approach. The final meeting will demonstrate the framework for the two use cases that were used in the COLOSSUS project:
- Product Pull Paradigm – where aircraft product development is driven by Aerial Wildfire Fighting Scenarios – EVE
- Product Push Paradigm – where aircraft product drives the future sustainable Intermodal Mobility – ADAM
What is Expected
During this two-day symposium, we will bring together leading minds from academia, industry, and research to discuss the transformation of aviation systems. Highlights will include:

- Experience COLOSSUS EVE: You can fly our COLOSSUS aircraft and fight wildfires in our COLOSSUS Simulator.
